Muses wanted!

Journal Entry: Sat Jul 11, 2009, 6:05 AM

Okay guys, here's the deal. May I have a moment of silence for my poor muses who recently died a tragic and painful death :tears:

Anyways, I need new ones and fast, because I'm seriously tempted to cut my throat with a pencil. Since the old muses are gone for good and the human ones are out of commission in one way or another I'm asking for your help - you're all very talented and creative people, I'm sure you can help me figure something out, at least until my old inspiration decides to go back from the underworld or whatever the fuck it banished itself to ^^;

In short, what I'm asking you to do for your desperate friend in need is to give me some ideas, it doesn't really matter if it's photography, writing, drawing or whatever, just give me something to work with, PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAAASEEEEEE!!! :please:

  • Mood: Eager
  • Listening to: Moonspell - Scorpion Flower
  • Watching: The Lion King
  • Eating: Noodles
  • Drinking: Coffee

I have always wondered what your version of the classic "Snake crawling through a skull" would look like.

However, what I personally would like to see is more cute pictures of you doing silly little things.

Find some place you never been before, take your camera and have a nice, long walk in that place. Maybe you'll catch something interesting. You can also visit places you think you know, and watch them better, try looking at the details, there's always something you miss, even for years, when you are accustomed to some places, so you have to like discover them every day like you never seen them before (or something like that).

But visiting new places is of utmost importance. Your brain needs to process new things, new images, new emotions to always be creative, you need to feed it constantly. Also try visiting places at different times of the day, sometimes you just need the right lights to get a good photo. Ever tried to watch the dawn? Maybe the sun rising above the city or above the mountains?

Think typewriters.
Think dragonflies.
Think feelings like:
-Loneliness
-Happiness
-Distress
-Distrust
-True Blue Love
-Emotional Overload
And think how you would express them.
Think in too many colors or think monochromatic, and make it dramatic.

Just think about things in a way you never did before, or just think about things you've never even thought about.
And in times of desperation, hit the search bar for either here or anywhere that will give you imagery, search any random word, and hopefully that will spark some need to create via inspiration.

I make love.

I know its cliche, but maybe do a series? horoscopes, tarot cards, but make the main creature or theme somthing totally different. Like... fruit horoscopes or..... chibi tarot cards. Put a totally different spin on somthing done to death by everybody else.

In terms of writing, challenge yourself to write one type of all the different styles of poetry, if you can, make the subject of all of them the same, or at least relationing to each other, and see how much creativitiy you can squeeze out of it.

Hope i helped!

Jeez, that's no good. =(

Maybe just take a rest for a while? I'm sure things will pop into your head by time. Just remember your brains ain't a vending machine. ^^
